Need help with a project?

Do you ever vacuum?

Do you hate the process because the cord is always getting in the way?

Maybe your vacuum has even chewed up its cord in the past, leaving you less motivated to vacuum–worried it might happen again–and intent to avoid the extra time constantly relocating the cord would add to your vacuuming routine.

Well, have I got good news for you!

And no–it won’t cost you a dime.
It’ll actually save you some time!

Introducing–the “vacuum like a professional” method.

Click here to jump to the “furniture-filled” method steps.

Furniture-free

This method works best in a room where furniture is only found around the room’s perimeter.

  1. Starting at the plug, vacuum around the perimeter of the room. If the room is oddly shaped, or if there are gaps between furniture, vacuum every edge so that when you go around the perimeter a second time, everything outside of the second pass has already been vacuumed.
  2. Back at the plug, gather the cord against that wall.
  3. From the plug, vacuum back-and-forth–as if mowing a lawn–moving away from the plug, until the whole room has been vacuumed.
  4. Enjoy your clean room!

Furniture-filled

There are two methods here.

The “easy” way

  1. Throw away all your furniture. Alternatively, you can just move the furniture to the perimeter.
  2. Starting at the plug, vacuum around the perimeter of the room. If the room is oddly shaped, or if there are gaps between furniture, vacuum every edge so that when you go around the perimeter a second time, everything outside of the second pass has already been vacuumed.
  3. Back at the plug, gather the cord against that wall.
  4. From the plug, vacuum back-and-forth–as if mowing a lawn–moving away from the plug, until the whole room has been vacuumed.
  5. Enjoy your clean room!

The “hard” way

  1. Divide the room into sections, based on the placement of the furniture.
  2. Follow the steps outlined above (starting with step 2 of “the ‘easy’ way”) for each section. This is simplified if you have a designated outlet for each section of the room.
  3. Enjoy your clean room!

This method takes the guesswork out of your cleaning routine. “Did I already hit that spot?”

Now you’ll know!

Happy cleaning!
